Hockey Goalie Glove Relacing Kit
Our Hockey Goalie Glove Relacing Kit features premium materials including a solid brass relacing needle and premium 120" waxed hockey laces. These two items were selected based on thousands of customer reviews and responses, professional equipment managers, our repair staff, as well as various other goalies who love to tinker on their own gear.
The needle is a Perma-Lok 2" solid brass needle, extremely strong and durable. The 2" size is important for the glove as you don't want an over sized needle when potentially working in the tight spaces of a goalie glove. One of the end the needle is pointed for threading, the other end is open and threaded just the right size allowing you to twist laces into.
The laces selected are Elite Pro waxed, 120", and available in a variety colours to customize your trapper the way you want it. While laces do weigh more than nylon lace, they're great for rebound control and by selecting wax laces as opposed to non-waxed, they repel water better keeping your glove light.

ABOUT THE NEEDLES AND SIZING:
The best needle and most common for relacing is the "2 1/4" Jumbo" from the options. This allows you to burn the end of your lace feed it into the open hole in the end of the brass needle. We do not suggest the 2" Mini, unless you are doing a repair with very thin lace or not your pocket. It's a very thin hole on the back of the needle, so your lace must be quite skinny. We will often use this for the side lacing on the glove, sometimes on the blocker as well if laced is used at the top. The 5" Jumbo is great for pad repairs as it gives you more length. We have seen people use the 5" Jumbo on goalie glove relacing jobs, but we personally find it a bit too long at times.
